On 25th May 2018, the UK introduced its new data protection legislation. This is the same day the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force.
Individuals’ rights are one of the most important changes of the new Data Protection Act. The law makes some changes to existing rights by extending or clarifying them, as well as introducing new rights, in order yto give you more control over the information about you held by organisations.
What specific rights you can exercise will be dependent on the reasons we have given for processing your data and what we are using it for. Below you will find links to each information right under the new data protection law and further details about they entail.
