Description
The Cleveland Police and Crime Panel

What is the Police and Crime Panel?

The Police & Crime Panel (PCP) has the power to scrutinise PCC activities, including the ability to review the Police & Crime Plan and Annual Report, veto decisions, request PCC papers and call PCCs and Chief Constables to public hearings.

The panel can also seek a professional view from Her Majesty’s Inspector of Constabulary (HMIC) regarding potential dismissals, and will agree on a lead authority to hold central funding and provide scrutiny support.

Please note this meeting is for the Police and Crime Panel to hold the PCC and his office to account for their work - if you have particular issues, please attend your local Your Force Your Voice event or email pcc@cleveland.pnn.police.uk.

Please note: This meeting is to confirm the appointment of the Chief Constable of Cleveland Police, so will not follow the usual meeting format.
