Election 2020

Following the Government announcement on 13 March 2020, we understand that legislation will be brought forward to delay the election until May 2021. Accordingly, the details on this page will be updated in due course.

The Commissioner’s statement on the resulting extension to the current term of office, can be read here.


 

The next Police and Crime Commissioner elections are approaching rapidly.

Police and Crime Commissioners are elected every four years. The last election was in May 2016 and the next election will be 7 May 2020.
