Freedom of Information request
We are looking into the funding crisis facing rape crisis centres locally and nationally, and am therefore contacting your office in relation to funding that the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cleveland award to local DA and SV services.
I understand that overall, it seems that the creation of a single ring-fenced SV/DA fund for PCCs is likely to be detrimental to survivors needing to access specialist SVA service, as in most PCC offices a larger % of the fund goes towards DA services, with sexual violence services not faring well in comparison.
I would be grateful if your office could provide a breakdown of these figures locally and any other relevant information including whether there is a discrepancy in funding allocated to these services respectively? This will help inform our contributions to this discussion on a wider level. Thanks in advance.
