The Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner (OPCC) undertakes a wide range of consultation to get Cleveland residents’ views on policing, crime and anti-social behaviour.
This is to make sure priorities in the Police and Crime Plan reflect the concerns of local communities with a particular focus on:
- Identifying victims’ needs so we can improve services
- Identifying key community concerns to help focus partnership activity
The OPCC has a number of ways of making sure police – and other vital services – are efficient, effective and responsive to local needs and to make sure the needs and welfare of local people are being safeguarded.
Methods include regular scrutiny meetings with the Chief Constable of Cleveland Police, on and offline consultations and attending a wide range of meetings with partners, residents and other stakeholders.
There may be an issue around crime, policing or anti-social behaviour in your community, which is of particular concern to you and your neighbours and you feel isn’t being tackled.
In order to resolve your concern, it may be necessary for us to share details with Cleveland Police. Are you happy for us to do so?
If you wish to make a complaint or report dissatisfaction with policing in your area please do so on the Cleveland Police website.
