The Ethics Committee promotes the highest standards of ethical conduct within Cleveland Police.
The Independent Scrutiny Volunteers, who sit on the Ethics Committee, make a key contribution to maintaining and improving trust and confidence in the police.
The Committee acts as a “critical friend” to the Force. It improves transparency of decision-making, for the benefit of Cleveland’s communities.
To support Cleveland Police, the Committee scrutinises, challenges and advises on policies, procedures, decision-making, leadership, culture and conduct.
