A new court system to force offenders to ditch drugs

Teesside has been selected by the Government to trial a new court system to force offenders to get clean from drugs or face a custodial sentence.

New app COPA helps police identify offenders

Advice – If you are not expecting anyone, don’t engage with people at the door. Don’t forget, ID badges can be made up very easily!

 

Consider a video doorbell. That way you can speaker to the caller remotely, rather than face to face.

Good News

Some good news from one of the services we provide funding to:

Hartlepool Deaf Centre

The Hartlepool Deaf Centre was funded through the OPCC Bright Skies winter fund. The fund helped members access the wider community and have engaging outings to get through those dark winter months.

 

The group are now more resilient, more confident and are generally happier. They have continued to have excellent turn out to their weekly Deaf Club, members are more engaged and really feel a part of the group now – they are members, not participants, friends not strangers.
