| | The Chief Inspector of His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) announced that Cleveland Police is being removed from “special measures”. Steve Turner thanked the public for their support, and his own team and commended Mark Webster and the new leadership team the Force now has. |

| | | COPA is on course to clock up 10,000 users a little over a year after it was first launched. The app which allows the public to ask questions, get information, provide intelligence and report non-urgent incidents has a total of 2,847 submissions in the 11 months to the end of August. |

| 10 principles of crime prevention For the next 10 top tips we are going to consider each one, of the 10 principles of crime prevention. This month its – 1. Target Hardening - Making property more resistant to attack or difficult to remove or damage.
- Upgrading the locks on your doors, windows, sheds, and outbuildings.
Installing intruder alarms CCTV and security lighting. - Using secure passwords to prevent criminals hacking your online accounts.

| Women's Aid Federation of England have just awarded EVA their National Quality Standards. This is the top 'kitemark' for work in the women's sector and establishes EVA Women's Aid as a provider of first-class services to victims of abuse and violence. They are very proud to have been given no less than thirteen Commendations for their work - the most that WAFE have ever awarded to a member organisation. Examples of the Commended work are - project work with young women, placing service users at the heart of decision making, outstanding commitment to delivering trauma-informed services, and our bespoke training programmes. |
