| | | Emergency workers have used restorative justice (RJ) to show offenders how being attacked in the line of duty effects them, their loved ones and their colleagues. Of the 95 cases referred to Restorative Cleveland during year ending September 2023, 28 involved emergency service workers. |

| 10 principles of crime prevention The top tip for this month is the third of ten principles of Crime Prevention Its about Removing the Means to Commit Crime. A thief will often use our ladders, wheelie bins, spades and other garden tools to break into our homes. Make sure these items are secure, bins are not able to be used as a climbing aid and are only put out on the day of collection. |

| | Police CPI has produced a digital handbook which provides crime prevention advice. This handbook can be used to improve your knowledge of crime prevention techniques in order to provide advice to the public and keep people safe, but is also suitable to be provided directly to the public if staff feel someone could benefit from itevents. |

| Hartlepool Sport and The PFC Trust received funding from the Autumn Activity fund to help reduce antisocial behaviour. With Halloween approaching they invited clubs, groups and organisations to participate in a pumpkin carving competition. With 221 participants signing up, the event was a huge success and was a fantastic platform for clubs in the area to recruit new members for young people to go on a regular basis and prevent them from committing ASB. |
