FOI Request
As per the FOI Act, I would like to request specific information from your police organisation regarding the IT software estate currently in place.
The reason for my request, is that we will approach organisations such as your own to establish how much we can save you from your IT budget, through our compliant pre-owned software licensing models.
I would specifically like to request the following, in electronic format please:
- What is the current number of staff who use a PC or a laptop within your organisation?
- What are the current Microsoft software licences (server and desktop) that you are using?
- What is your annual IT spend on Microsoft licences?
- Has your organisation moved, or is planning to move, to the Cloud in the next 12 months?
- Are you due to undertake a review of your software estate in the next 12 months?
- What is the name of the decision maker for IT spend in your organisation?
FOI Response
Your request has been handled in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“the Act“).
I can now inform you that I have completed my enquiries and that my reply on behalf of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cleveland is as follows.
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner is dependent on Cleveland Police for our IT infrastructure, as this is delivered as part of an outsourced service which is managed on a day-to-day basis by the force.
I would therefore suggest that I forward your request onto Cleveland Police’s FOI Team to answer your request in its totality, as opposed to us providing details for the small number of staff who work for the OPCC.
If you would like me to forward your request onto Cleveland Police, please let me know within 14 days of receiving this letter.
