A sculpture has appeared outside the CSH (upside down metal cage with green floating bit inside). Please can you tell me how much this cost?

I can confirm that the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cleveland does hold this information.
The project team for the Community Safety Hub wanted to involve the community in the construction and design of the building as much as possible and in particular, they were keen to build relationships with children and young people from the neighbouring Hemlington community.
The Memorial Garden sculpture project delivered was in partnership with the Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA), artist David Lisser and Hemlington Linx, a youth outreach organisation based in Hemlington.

Mr Lisser’s fees included the delivery of a number of workshops with local young people to help them understand the design brief of what the world may look like sixty years into the future (the approximate lifespan of the building).
The workshops attended by the children as part of the scheme included:
- Understanding what ‘future foods’ humans may be consuming in the future by exploring the use of insects in cuisine;
- Development of time capsules, including a letter to their future selves to be opened 10 years from now;
- Discussions on crime and justice in the future and the creation of a charter for the future;
- Exploring what most excites and worries the young people about the future.
These workshops were well received by young people, who created the final design to represent the erosion of personal privacy due to social media.
It is worth noting that the budget for the Memorial Garden Sculpture was part of the overall Community Safety Hub project budget, which was raised entirely from the sale of the former Ladgate Lane HQ site and therefore presented no additional cost to the taxpayer.
