Humberside Chief Constable Lee Freeman will be the Interim Chief Constable of Cleveland Police.

Cleveland Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) has made this decision.

The decision was prompted by the resignation of former Chief Constable for Cleveland Mike Veale.

The PCC must make sure a Chief Constable is appointed to lead Cleveland Police.

PCCs for Humberside and Cleveland have entered into a Collaboration Agreement to cover formal legal arrangements.
