Approval is required to commit to the national agreement for fuel card services to 31 May 2014.
Cleveland Police has used the national contract for fuel card services for a number of years;
The scheme provides a key service to drivers of operational vehicles and hire cars, which help to support crime reduction and crime detection across Cleveland.
Originally, the new contract was due to start on 1 April 2014. However, this has been delayed by the GPS (Government Procurement Service.)
This is the reason for a further two-month extension request to the fuel card contract
