In April 2011 the Police Authority approved:
- The implementation of an analytical job evaluation scheme for all Police Staff below Service Unit Manager using the Police Staff Council t3 factor scheme
- The implementation of an analytical job evaluation scheme for all Police Staff at Service Unit Manager and Executive level using the Local Government Employers senior officers’ scheme
- The implementation of a new pay model for Police Staff which is compliant with age and sex discrimination legislation.
- A pay model and an analytical job evaluation scheme, which are cost neutral
Consequently, Cleveland Police has undertaken a fundamental review of its salary and grade structures for staff through the two approved schemes.
As a result, three pay models have been devised, developed and fully costed.
