Hartlepool Safeguarding Children Board (HSCB) is a statutory body made up of organisations which work with children and young people.
It is the key mechanism for agreeing how organisations co-operate to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and for ensuring the effectiveness of what they do.
Priorities
The HSCB Business Plan 2016-2018 focusses on priorities that form the basis of work for the next two years.
These priorities support the HSCB’s statutory functions and the partnership response. Priorities relate to protecting vulnerable children and young people, preventing harm and promoting their welfare.
They are:
- Addressing the impact of neglect;
- Reducing child sexual exploitation
- Strengthening partnerships to ensure continuous improvement
Funding provided by the PCC helps towards the costs of carrying out the activities set out in the HSCB Business Plan.
The PCC will receive regular updates on progress in line with terms and conditions of the grant agreement.
