A collaborative procurement exercise was conducted through the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) for the provision of vehicles and spare parts.
In order to achieve efficiencies and economies, the collaborative group agreed to use an e-auction exercise. This was via the CCS procurement portal as it was the most cost effective route to procuring from the framework contracts.
The PCC for Cleveland approved the contract awarded on the 20th July 2015.
However following this decision, a selected provider advised that it could not meet the particular stipulations of the contract.
Following legal advice, the Category 6 contract was re-procured. A further e-auction was held on 23rd September.
