FOI Response
Your request has been handled in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“the Act“).
I can now inform you that I have completed my enquiries and that my reply on behalf of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cleveland is as follows.
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cleveland does not subscribe to CoPaCC or Policing Insight. We have therefore not made any payments to CoPaCC for the years outlined in your request.
Cleveland Police made a payment for a one year subscription to Policing Insight in June 2018.
In 2013, CoPaCC contacted us requesting evidence of our work around transparency for their first ever Transparency Thematic Report. Following this, we provided similar submissions in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 to assist our qualification for the Transparency Quality Mark.
These submissions are our opportunity to explain how we have met our duty to publish documents and information as set out in the Elected Local Policing Bodies (Specified Information) Order 2011 and the Elected Local Policing Bodies (Specified Information) (Amendment) Order 2012.
I am refusing the final question of your request under Section 21 of the Act, as this information is readily accessible via the Transparency section of the PCC’s website.
To assist you I have provided the link below, which has more information about the awards we received in 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18. The link also provides up-to-date evidence for how we are meeting the Specified Information:
Meeting our transparency requirements
We are extremely proud of the progress we have made in becoming one of the top five OPCCs in the country for transparency and we look forward to retaining the Transparency Mark for the fifth year.
