Freedom of Information request
- All briefings, reports, or updates provided to the PCC by Cleveland Police senior officers regarding progress against the HMICFRS child protection recommendations, from 1 January 2025 to the date of this request. This includes but is not limited to the “fortnightly briefings” referenced in public statements.
- All agendas, meeting notes, minutes, or summaries relating to the “deep dive” scrutiny meeting on child protection held in March/April 2025, including any outcomes or action plans arising from that meeting.
- Any records of follow-up actions or progress reviews conducted by the PCC’s office since the April 2025 scrutiny meeting to monitor Cleveland Police’s implementation of the HMICFRS recommendations.

Some information has been redacted as it is withheld under Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, as it comprises of personal data about a third party. Disclosing this information would contravene the data protection principles under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. As Section 40(2) is an absolute exemption, there is no requirement to a public interest test.
