FOI Request
Can you please send me or direct me to where I can find a job specification sheet / form which details what experience and qualifications a candidate for the position of Cleveland Police Crime Commissioner must have to apply. Thank you.
OPCC Response
I can confirm that the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cleveland does hold not this information, as there is no job specification for the role of Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC).
S16 of the Freedom of Information Act states that I should assist you in finding the information you seek. I’ve provided some alternative resources below which you may find helpful.
The key roles and responsibilities of a PCC were set out in legislation in the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011. This document also set the salary for the PCC role.
You can find the Act here: Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 (legislation.gov.uk)
The Electoral Commission has published guidance for potential PCC election candidates on the qualifications and disqualifications for standing as a candidate.
You can view this guidance on their website: Police and Crime Commissioner elections | Electoral Commission
