The following funding has been approved by the PCC’s Community Safety Initiative Fund:
- £5,000 for Stockton Crime Prevention Panel to provide crime prevention initiatives and education in the community. Funding will also pay to promote crime prevention among young people by encouraging them to take part in community-based youth projects.
- £2,637 for support for Keep the Dream Alive project to buy CCTV recorders.
- £3,000 for fhe Linx Project Hemlington to support the delivery of motivational course Linx to Employment and promote youth diversionary activities. The course supports young people to be work ready by putting them through an Open College Network in Preparation to Work qualification. The course will involve Linx working with partnership agencies to build referrals to the programme. The course supports harder to reach young people from less affluent backgrounds and gives them the opportunity to progress.
- £703 for Vulnerable Young People Support – Acklam to provide local community and diversionary activities for children and young people.
