Curious Arts – £500.00
Curious Arts is a not-for-profit organisation championing, developing and delivering LGBTQIA+ arts, artists and events to audiences across the North East of England.
Funding will be used to support pop up pride scheduled for 24 September 2022. It will be a daytime celebration with family friendly activities. They will include events, performances and stalls to celebrate Tees Valley’s LGBTQIA+ community.
Community First Support Network – £4,357.92
Based in Saltersgill, Community First Support Network provides a job club, community bingo, credit union, DIY courses, Eco shop, kids after school club, kids boxing and football, parent/toddler clubs, and a handy person scheme.
Community First Support Network wants funding to deliver a “Junior ASB Gardening Club” for children aged 7 -11 living in Middlesbrough.
The project aims to use gardening as a tool to increase young people’s understanding of ASB and its impact on the local community with a particular focus on graffiti, dog-fouling, noise nuisance, and littering/fly-tipping.
The children will have the opportunity to take part in and learn various gardening and growing skills, in addition to designing a leaflet and engaging new children to the project with a focus on encouraging positive environmental solutions that reduce ASB in Middlesbrough.
Soroptimist International Great Britain and Northern Ireland (SIGBI) Stockton on Tees- £3,755.00
This funding will provide emergency supply bags for victims of human trafficking.
Bags will contain emergency provisions such as clothing, toiletries and other basic essential items for males, females, children and babies.
SIGBI regularly liaise with Cleveland Police to offer charitable support when police identify victims of trafficking as a result of police work
