From the Home Office Funding to run uniformed patrols in ASB Hotspot areas, we have an anticipated underspend of £537,776 primarily due to delays in recruiting staff. To maximise the funding opportunity and increase the number of patrols, in the ASB hotspot areas, we propose using the underspend from this funding to scale up the number of hotspot patrols, with the support of partner organisations.
Some of the expected benefits are:
- An increase in the number of patrols that can be deployed.
- Increased enforcement powers, where patrols are supported by Police Officers.
- Additional insight from specialist partners.
- Improved partnership working.
