Executive Summary
A key priority in the Police and Crime Commissioner’s (PCC) 2021-24 Police and Crime Plan is ‘Tackling antisocial behaviour head on.’
As a result the PCC has made available up to £30,000 to enable local charitable/voluntary community sector organisations to access a one-off grant that works towards one (or more) of the below points:
- Reducing ASB
- Diverting people away from ASB
- Encouraging positive solutions that overcome the issues that communities face as a result of ASB
- Building resilience in communities to respond to ASB
- Supporting early intervention approaches to ASB
Applicants were able to apply for a maximum of £1,500 per project for delivery during the August 2023 school holiday period.
Following an application review meeting on 25 July 2023 attended by the Police and Crime Commissioner, Head of Policy, Partnerships and Delivery and Head of the Cleveland Unit for the Reduction of Violence the PCC has agreed to fund the below organisations:
Billingham Boxing Academy – £1,500
Boosbeck Village Hall – £600
Hartlepool Rugby Football Club – £640
St Nicholas Youth Group – £1,500
St Ann’s Partnership – £1,480.16
Hardwick Partnership – £926
Community Ventures – £1,500
Ladies of Steel – £1,500
Huskies Basketball – £1,500
The Shack – £1,500
NEPACs – £1,491
Total: £14,137.16
