The Home Office has given Cleveland Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) a grant to complete energy saving work on the M8 PFI building.
The grant will allow the force to complete work on the Building Environmental System (BEMS.)
That means it can truly integrate Air Handling Units and Fan Coil Units with the occupancy sensing equipment.
This will allow the temperature within the building to be regulated more effectively and reduce energy use.
The PCC is asked to accept the Home Office grant and agree a revenue increase of £23,863 in the force’s budget. This cash will come from funding already received.
