Cleveland Volunteer Police Cadets aim to build bridges within communities, work to reduce the risk of crime and encourage progression towards responsible adulthood.
The cadets is open to young people aged 13 to 17.

The funding of £36,000 will cover the costs of a Cadet Co-ordinator at 15 hours per week, a Programme Support Worker at 15 hours per week, 2x Youth Workers at 7.5 hours per week and a Supervision/Safeguarding Lead at 2 hours per week (hours are subject to change but will not exceed the stated hours).
An additional funding claim can be made up to the value of £2,000 during the term of the agreement to cover uniform costs.
The cadets also undertake a range of fundraising activities to supplement funding received through the PCC. A full options appraisal for future provision of the Cadet Programme will take place during 19/20 for the next financial year.
