Whippet Up CIC is a community interest company established in February 2018. It brings together four founder members/artists with vast experience in community work and mental health.
Whippet Up uses creativity as a way of working with people who are socially isolated. Funding has been requested to purchase equipment and materials to run a weekly creative session for 15 weeks at Saltburn Woodland Centre.
The sessions will support people who have been a victim of crime linking in with Victim Care and Advice Service.
Individuals from hard to reach groups will also be invited along to the sessions. Whippet Up believe that engaging in creative activities has a positive impact on individuals’ wellbeing.
This initiative supports the PCC’s objective of a Better Deal for Victims and Witnesses.
