Soroptimist International works at global, national, regional and local community level.
The organisation was founded in 1921 to improve the lives of women and girls through education, empowerment and enabling opportunities.
The Soroptimist Club of Stockton on Tees has previously donated emergency packs to Cleveland Police to hand out to victims of trafficking.
Cleveland Police seek another 30 of these packs which include basic clothing, toiletries and £5 cash. The Soroptimists will also include 15 mobile phones with the packs for officers to hand out.
This initiative supports the PCC’s objective of Ensuring a Better Deal for Victims and Witnesses.
