Executive Summary:
The Halo Project is meeting the needs of victims of Forced Marriage and Honour Based Violence by acting as the lead agency for key stakeholders, partnerships and agencies providing specialist provision, awareness and safeguarding for victims.
During the transition period to Police and Crime Commissioners the Transition Programme Board agreed a contribution of 10k in support of re-launching the HALO project and the Force agree a further 5k. One year on the Halo Project Team has expanded due the volume of cases being dealt with.
The Halo Project Team have therefore requested continuation of funding for a further year. Other Organisations including Vela Group, Middlesbrough Council, Middlesbrough College, Tees Health, Fabrick Group, Northstar Housing Group and Coast and Country Housing are continuing their support of the project. Funding awarded would be utilised in support of victims which is priority of the PCC.
