Additional demand for Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA) services has been identified.
This need has been identified by charity Arch North East. It is one of the main providers of services for victims of sexual violence in Cleveland.
Arch has been experiencing increased demand for its ISVA service, which provides bespoke support for clients.
Support may include preparation for court, support during trials and after-court support.
Currently, Arch has 88 active ISVA clients. In addition, there has been an increase in referrals year on year. Court support has also increased.
The funding will help take the immediate pressure off services for 12 months and provide additional resilience.
