The PCC is asked to approve the release of £89,000 from the Road Safety Fund to support three road safety schemes.
Hartlepool Council manages the National Driver Offender Re-Training Scheme (NDORS) in Cleveland. It does so on behalf of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC)
The council delivers this contract on a not-for-profit basis. In doing so, it gives funds back to the PCC to invest in road safety initiatives.
In line with arrangements put in place by the PCC, the Cleveland Road Safety Partnership assess any bids for funding.
This is before recommending to the PCC those that they support and believe will help with road safety.
