Please provide any and all messages and files held by the OPCC, and and messages sent by the PCC through his official mailbox and/or official mobile phones, in relation to the PCC’s candidature in the 2023 local elections in Redcar & Cleveland.

I acknowledge he is not standing in his capacity as PCC, but I want to check if any OPCC resources were used by him and whether any guidance was provided to the PCC in relation to his candidature.

To clarify, this request includes any correspondence sent or received by the PCC on his official mailbox and/or through his official phone in relation to other candidates at the same election.

The information provided has been identified following searches of PCC/OPCC mailboxes and devices, and of our file systems. The documents have been prepared into a bundle, which you will find attached to the email accompanying this letter.

You will note that the document has been subject to redactions. I can confirm that redactions were made due to exemptions under s40 of the Freedom of the Information Act, in that the information included the personal data of third party individuals. Redactions were also made on information that was outside of the scope of your request.
