What is the right to be informed?
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner must describe how we obtain, use and store your information and who we may share it with. Organisations must provide you with information including: their purposes for processing your personal data, their retention periods for that personal data, and who it will be shared with. We call this ‘privacy information’.
We do this by displaying privacy notices, which are accessible in a number of ways, including:
- The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Privacy Notice.
- On the OPCC website.
- On posters across the OPCC.
- On any consent form you may use from the OPCC.
