What is Community Remedy?
Community Remedy is a process that aims to give victims of low-level crime and antisocial behaviour the opportunity to have a say in how the person responsible for their crime is dealt with by the police.
By undertaking one of the actions on offer in a police force area, the offender will avoid the court system. In addition, the victims will feel satisfied with the reparations made.
Under development
The OPCC is working in conjunction with Cleveland Police to develop a new suite of community remedy options for victims in Cleveland. This page will be updated as soon as practicable.
